I wonder what your experiences with Del Tin swords are. I own two medieval type swords of Del Tin, the 2121 and the 2132 and like them a lot. They are a bit heavy, but as a big man I like that in a sword.

I just recently(Christmas) bought a used DelTin 2125 Viking sword off the other sword forums classifieds. It was called the Clonarf sword by the Museum replicas catalog years ago when they carried them. It is a little heavy and the hand grip on a viking sword is a little cramped if you have big hands but the cast bronze gaurd and pommel are just great looking. i will post a few pictures when i get home later today.

acording to other reviews that I've seen, del tin is a pretty decent company that makes incredibally accurate looking swords. on the other hand, some of their older work is a bit shoddy and it can be a pain to try to sort through the shoddy ones to the top-notch ones without help from people with past experience.
But overall, they are a quality swordmaking company and there are too many real complaints.

A small problem I have with Del Tin site is the lack of product prices (correct me if I'm wrong); I'm looking into a couple of his swords and am wondering how much these cost :-( Does anyone has a compiled pricelist of Del Tin's catalog? I hate to trouble the busy man every now and then

for reviews of Del Tin swords, go to the site of the Scandinavian dealer Björn Hellqvist: bjorn.foxtail.nu/swords.htm(click on the English language) There's a lot of good general sword information on that site!

Well I took a pic of my Clonarf Deltin 2105 sword finnaly after I built a scabbard for it.The sword was really dirty when I got it The rust was easy to take off the blade (green scrungie and 3 in 1 oil) and the Bronze pommel and guards tarnish took a bit of metalglow and rags and lots of polishing. here is a picture of it with the scabbard I made. I also rewrapped the grip in brown leather I didnt like the wire grip it came with Just clic on the picture.

leezoo, could you do me a humongeous favor? Could you go on my thread in the customization section and tell me how you made the scabbard? I'm going to be starting on my very first one soon and plan to use the suspension that peter johnsson outlined (posted in my thread).
Thanks!

One thing that turns me off about Del Tin, and its not their fault, is that Italian law prohibits them froms selling any sharpened swords.

Tsafa, a 'turn-offs' for you but a good thing for me cos our country prohibits imports of sharp weapon-like object... ;D But the lack of online price-list is a problem for me cos there's a couple of their swords I fancy and I don't wish to bother them now and then... *sigh*

I have never met a salesman who does not want to sell his products, or is bothered when someone ask about the prices.

I have never met a salesman who does not want to sell his products, or is bothered when someone ask about the prices. It is my understanding that Fulvio does not own it or make sword anymore. I can not be sure, but that is the word I hear. I have not talked to Fulvio in years, not since we stopped selling his swords (due to time in wait after order).

It is only one week ago that I received an Email from him about making a scabbard for one of my Del Tin Swords. (Eur. 60,- , that's cheap!) They are of super quality leather.
