When I was in the Arizona area I handled some of these in a local store. They were very nice knives, not touristy trap thingies. According the owner of the store, all his stock came from a local Native American knife smith. Apparently the reason that they were called "LCO Knives" is because the Lac Courte Oreilles band is known for making them (but I'm like what because that band is located in the Wisconsin area?). They were $100-200 in the store. When I went online to Arizona custom knives.com (which is what he recommended) a comparable handmade knife was around the $500 mark. No information on "LCO Knives" online but collectors seem to like them... anywhere I could learn more about what I was looking at? I would link to a similar knife on Arizona custom knives but the site seems to be down.

Never heard of 'em, but you've got me interested.
Sure enough, there is nothing out there on Google about them. I did find that there is/was apparently a chief who went by "dull knife" and that kind of made me giggle, but it's rather irrelevant to this topic...
