Something I found out not so long ago and that shows how some of our swords are actually made. www.worldwideswords.net/ (click on the link about the production facility).

I've seen the backyard foundry pics of the WE production process ( Now you know why Dynamic Taper isn't a priority ).
I'm more astonished that you found these folks. Clueless as to the existence of any US distributor since Rob Stanford threw in the towel.
I've sent a contact email to Worldwide askign for some details about their stockage and responsiveness of WE.
Thanks for finding this.

Wow they seem to be supplying a good number of swords to DSA, as well as some swords similar to Windlass such as the Sword of Roven and the Great Ouse River swords. I was aware that some of the DSA swords were from India, but I did not know they were also producing swords from Weaponedge.
Interesting. Would love to know more about the supplier and distributor of these swords.

Just got World Wide Sword reply to my questions: Hello Dave, Well, darn it, you should have contacted me first:) Yes, I have gone into partnership with Weapon Edge to be the U.S. Dealer for them. Not only am I offering the swords in the inventory, I am working closely with them to correct the swords out there that absolutely suck (pardon the French)! Right now, we are in the process of reproducing the Froelich Confederate Staff Officer Sword, the McElroy Staff and Field Officer Cavalry Saber, the Boyle and Gamble Staff and Field Officer Sword, the J.C. Wilson Staff and Field Officer Sword. the 1850 Staff and Field Officer Sword, the 1850 Foot Officer Sword, the Dufilho Staff Officer Sword, the Nashville Plow Works Officer Cavalry Saber, and the Leech and Rigdon Staff and Field Officer Sword. As a researcher of Civil War and Historical Edged Weapons and Militaria, I am working with them to correct glaring mistakes that have been made with previous reproductions and bringing the swords back to their full glory. I am honored to be a part of this and am working hard to make sure that all collectors can have a piece of history at a reasonable price. While the sword itself may not have been there, the spirit it represents will always come through! Anything on my website will take approximately two weeks to be shipped to you rather than having to wait months. I have been working very closely with them to make sure that we represent the United States and the World to provide quick service and quality swords to you. As such if you place an order with me, I will work hard to make sure to get it to you quickly. If something is on backorder, I will let you know immediately so you are not having to do that 5 month wait. By February, there will be every sword available for even quicker shipment. I would be honored to be your go-to guy for any sword you may need. We are currently working on the Australian version of the Royal British Navy Officer Sword and also a current version of the Australian Navy Cutlass. We are also working on developing more swords that can be used for the Revolutionary War period. I am very honored and excited that my name is out there and will work hard to make you a customer for life. I started doing this as a result of my own research and have spent countless time and effort to make these swords as period correct and accurate as possible down to every detail. Please let me know how I can be of assistance to you. It would be an honor and a privilege. Your Servant, Timothy Test World-Wide Swords www.worldwideswords.net777 Baltimore Street, Unit 114 Gettysburg, PA 17325 (423) 381-5660 drtimtest@aol.com!sales@worldwideswords.com!

To clarify. WWS doesn't just sell WE production swords. The Medis on their site are, along with most of the Civil War Stuff , DSA or Windlass swords. WeaponEdge does not sub for these swordmakers.
Promising that there may be a more commercially responsive WeaponEdge coming, with an active base of professional collectors pushing product development.

So, what I think you meant there is because WWS is selling is doesn't mean WE made it, correct?
Either way, nice looking blades and pretty good prices!

well a quick glance at the sit is all I could stand-- it's very annoying that half my screen is taken up by the title and the left side links. I would put some effort into better website if they want more traffic.
I was not aware any swords of DSA were from India and I don't believe that to be the case.

Yes you are right, I have misspoken that DSA swords were from India. A bit of the brainfart from recalling some of the older threads I've read. Now if I recall correctly (from one of the old threads at SFI), they are made in Canada

Correct, WWS happens to sell different stuff from different sword makers: Indian WE for sabers and Canadian DSA for medievals, as Jerrymander just said.
Well done Dave for reporting good news so fast. This indeed looks promising!

I posted this in a different area but would like to get history relics attention, I would like to deal with them, they have good prices...just not sure of the logistics.
Greetings all! Anyone know if historyrelics still ships free? I've spent a couple of hours online looking at their offerings, and making a decision on a blade is tough. They're all nice looking swords, however I keep gravitating to the Russian 18th C Dragoon Saber and the French Mameluke Scimitars, both really formidable looking instruments of death and destruction. If history relics happens to read this...please give us some stats, such as do you still ship free, where do u ship from (doesen't really matter where, I still want them), shipping time after recieving payment, travel time for purchases, shipping entity or shippers name and can we track progress, and anything else that might be useful to we who desire to do business with you. It always pays big dividends to be up front and clearly visible with as much info as you can give to us....It builds confidence! Those of us who collect and actually use the instruments we buy, I think would gladly welcome a new resource that is both reliable and open, along with the fortitude to take to your supplier the suggestions about their quality, exactness and integrity. Otherwise your competition will eventually make short work of your early advantage in this particular market, folks like TS, A & A, KOA and other very reliable vendors. In the end, I think that if you give us what we want, (and your prices are already there) you too will benefit by it....so get to know us here on the forum....we want your products...just deal truthfully, fairly, and as expediently with us as possible! A big thanks if you do! Honesty goes round...but it seldom if ever bites you in the butt, reliability usually always brings 'em back and expedience is worth its weight in gold. Fortitude and Integrity? These are first and foremost to some of the most successful people in the world. I wish you luck!

If you want their attention then send them a private message or contact them via their website. Members who had to deal with Weaponedge will tell you how slow they can be to process an order so unless Historyrelics have upgraded their customer service as they claim, you'll have to be patient. If they don't answer after a certain time, it's their loss as you have a couple more sellers to contact for plan B.
