I didn't see this forum before or I would have done this earlier. My name is Mark. I live near Memphis TN. I enjoy hunting, fishing, offroad Jeeping, sharp objects and things that goes BOOM. I've been buying and selling knives and guns most of my life and have had a few swords along the way. I have a Hanwei Shinto Katana that I picked up a few years ago. Really nice Katana compared to most I've seen but I am far from an expert. Recently I have bought some others like a ZT "The Deuce" & Apokatana (Gotta be prepared for them pesky Zombies) and a Hanwei Military Dadao. The wife thinks I'm nuts but that's just another reason she loves me. I think I have closed a deal on a Hanwei Raptor Nanbokucho Katana to try and learn some real cutting technique with and there was a local guy who teaches Kendo that I'm going to check into in the next few days. I haven't done any hard martial arts stuff in a while and maybe it will help me sweat off some blubber as well. I'm glad I found this place. Tons of good info/reading so maybe I can learn something and make a few internet friends. If anyone here lives near Memphis and would like to help an old fat guy learn some Katana cutting skills lemme know. Mark AKA: SkyChi AKA: Thong Ninja (search that on YouTube. I'm the handsome one in the black thong. It's a long but funny story.) AKA: Lord of the Dreck

Hi SkyChi. I am also from West Tennessee..........Waverly, New Johnsonville, Paris area. Been living in South Jersey for a while now but all my extended family is still down there and we vacation there every year. I still think of TN as home and will retire there one day.
Glad to have you aboard and welcome to SBG!
