There's 4 that come to mind, all Windlass (Windlass is pretty much the only option at this price point; at least, that I know of). All are in stock: 1860 Light Cavalry Union Saber. The cheapest of the bunch and I've heard that the 2" off the blade length makes it a nicer handling sword than the 1840 Heavy Cavalry Saber, also made by Windlass; frankly, that wouldn't be hard to do. American Revolution Saber. One of the nicest looking of the bunch and I've heard good things about it, though it only has a d-guard rather than the three bar of the Union and Confederate styles. Sword of Ezio. This is a replica (sort of) of a saber used by Ezio Auditore da Firenze in the video game Assassin's Creed II. I haven't heard anything on it, but it looks good and the numbers indicate it should handle decently. Cons right off the bat: threaded pommel & no sheath (can be bought extra as part of a belt & baldric system, though it's 200$). If those don't matter to you that much and you like the look, it might be worth a shot. Hungarian Saber. The finest looking of the four, in my opinion, but at the very top of your budget and over it somewhat if you order the sharpening, so there's a ding already. On the plus side, the 5" point of balance is significantly closer than the others, it is peened, and the 30" blade gives less chances for it to suffer from the Windlass Whippiness. If you go the Hungarian Saber route, please, post a review; I've had something of an interest in that sword for quite some time, so I'd appreciate an insight into that is unbiased.

If you're doing any cutting ,there's a possibility of scratching the etchings.

Like JP said: there is a possibility of scratching the etchings if you do any cutting, but if you get into the habit near the end of the fuller (approximately where I imagine the center of percussion might be), you shouldn't have to worry about that. Otherwise, it looks to be a light, reasonably quick saber, although it's not to my personal liking (I don't like spear points on sabers for aesthetic reasons).

KoA has a scratch and dent USMC saber by cold steel in your price range. Looks like only scabbard damage, and that minor.

Ah, if you're going for looks, go for it.
However, AFAIK, the windlass sabers can be hit and miss. The hilt sometimes is hollow plastic, and can twist on the rather thin tang.
The leather isn't the finest, and the wire grip can get a little uncomfortable unless you wear gloves. Also, if the scabbard is metal, it's possible to scrape the blade against it, dulling it if it's been sharpened.
It is a nice looking blade though.
