Marlin 1895 guide Gun (45/70) with XS Sights upper rail and a Leupold FXII 4X scout style And my little CZ 452 Lux in .22 wmr The 45/70 I put a hole through a hole in a coke can suspended in the air form 100 yards (bench rest obviously) and my CZ consistently makes a quarter sized grouping with 10 shots from 25 yards (iron sights standing) -- Brent

Nice guns, Brent, I've been thinking of picking up one of those Marlin's with the big loop for some time now. But, I spent that money on swords.

Do it! Scout mounts on lever guns are great. Super quick target acquisition Make sure to get an IER or EER though to save your eyes
If you do decide to get one, try to get an older one. I bought mine a month before Remington bought Marlin. They don't have the same barrel standards the original Marlins had. But I love that gun. Strength and accuracy of a Howitzer ^^

452s are truly awesome target rifles, especially where iron sights are concerned. As for the Marlin...nice mini howtizer.

My scope is a Leupold FXII. It's a 4xpower Intermediate Eye Relief. Plenty of power for that big round considering I'd never take a shot over 250 yards with that particular rifle. I always have found IER's to be the most comfortable and quick at acquiring targets when scout mounted You can never go wrong with a Leupold though! Wonderful sights and scopes. Lifetime warranty, great durability. Mine never fogs, never glares. You should try to spend 1/2 the gun cost if not more on a scope or sight!

Niiice video, Brent, that is a friggin' cannon for sure. Not only did it decimate the light bulb with shock waves, it looks like it knocked the safety glasses right off your head!
