Hi guys It`s my first post here so hello everybody. ;D I`m reading this and SFI forum for about 3 weeks, and you convinced me to buy (here on SBI) Cheness Cutlelry 9260 monosteel katana (Tenchi or Shura can`t decide) as my first sword, due to it`s high "forbidding bad cuts ratio" and honesty of Paul, but I have little dilemma: Does second hardening in no bo-hi blades, brings much to edge hardness? I like the idea of better balanced lighter=faster blade (i don't plan to chop trees with it : and tachi kaze , besides i visually prefer blades with fuller(specially on cheap polish blade ). But if this means it will dull faster or have higher probability to chip, or god forbid bend/crack then it`s cheap bargain to me. sorry for my English -not native speaker- hope u can understand what I mean even it is little "grammar evil"

Hi arti, I cut with a Cheness Shura with bohi, sometimes 2 mat rolls if i was going to cut any thicker targets i think that the no bohi version would be better due to the added weight, but 2 mat rolls is enough for me, the bohi on the Shura is very usefull as you can hear the blade angle. On a differential hardened blade i prefer no bohi ie: the Kaze. Good technique is also very important.
