Hmm is it wired i started out liking katana and I'm slowly starting to love the look of European swords. i mean don't get me wrong i still like the katana(plan on getting the dojo pro) but there something that pulls you in to the European swords. for me its the look of power they have it well i just love the art in a leather scabbard. So what is the most beautiful European swords you have seen? for me its this www.customswordshoppe.com/shoppe ... ucts_id=67 i know its nothing really out there but i love the little detail... and i well be buying one some where down the road. but i would like to know what swords are you guys sitting at home day dreaming about? that you "actually " plan on getting

Right now I am going back and forth between the ATrim XIIIb.1 and the XIX.1 over at Tried and True. They have some similarities - fast, light, a COG at around 6 inches - great cutters with a generous COP. I can't decide which one to get.

I've been working with several designers on here, in particular Elheru Ahran and working a bit myself in Inkscape to render a pretty good mockup of my sword.. It's technically as shobo-zukuri katana mounted in a euro fashion, but the hilt has a ray skin underwrap, and crosshatches (not quite like traditional ito, but not just a leather wrap, a fusion of the two) of calfskin or standard leather... The blade is tweaked a bit from standard shobo zukuri, and almost echoes a tulwar or shamshir in it's liines... For a few glimpses... It's not finished yet, but I have contact a custom smith to begin refining the idea and am finalizing the drawing with Elheru to get it all finished up.

I'd love to pick up an Albion Earl or Sovereign in the next couple years. My tastes have become expensive.

The sword I sit at home daydreaming about is Ithin, my original design, that originally started out as a design for my novel that eventually migrated into the one custom sword I must own (alongside its brother, Mé'aré). However, if we're talking production swords, then I've regularly fantasized about owning the Valiant Armoury Warder and the Albion Kingmaker more than any others: Of course, when you're as broke as I am, thinking about any sword counts as daydreaming.

Well, one I've wanted ever since I saw the old version is on it's way now- basically it's the tac long blade in the form of the VA ZombieSlayer: www.customswordshoppe.com/shoppe ... ucts_id=51 What do I look at over and again when I'm online? These-------> Jeffrey Robinson a.k.a. Brother Banzai could make me anything and I'd be able to die happy. If I pick one he's done it's the Violator- love the hilt work!: www.bronzebyjeffreyjrobinson.com/Violator.htmlBrendan Olszowy's swords have the same effect on me as with Jeff's. Very hard to pick a favourite, right now it's Winter: www.fableblades.com/Winter.htmlUhhh, Jake Powning anyone? Vardhllokur: www.powning.com/jake/commish/swords22.shtmlNo? Maybe Mad Dwarf instead Vidgand maddwarfworkshop.com/swords/vidgand.htmlLet us never forget Michael 'TInker' Pearce. In my humble opinion he is to be held in the highest regard as a living legend who has enlightened the modern sword world fantasy leaf-blade bastardsword: tinkerswords.com/Page%203.htmlAt this point I really want a leaf or viking next so it's a matter of narrowing down how much I can spend then finding the blade in my pricepoint. However, I am in that place we all come to at some time in our collecting; I am standing at a fork in the road with one path leading to more so called 'production' blades, and the other is what I like to call 'the yellow brick custom road'. If only I could click my heels and have my sword(s)....

Haha, my only stipulation on my novel designs (the top 7 swords in my design thread) is that I get them first; after that, anyone can get one made. But if you want something similar, the H/T Fullered Bastard serves as the basis for Mé'aré.
Ah, well, I'm unemployed, so no saving for me.

This place has that effect on you Oh, I can't believe I forgot the Man Himself! Mr. TInker! added him to my last post. He calls it a fantasy leaf bastard sword- I see a leaf viking and damn it is GOOD.

My next sword WILL be an Atrim XIIIb.1. WHEN I will be able to afford to buy any swords again is anyone's guess, though.
I also wouldn't mind getting a new H/T Fullered Bastard done up by Sonny to replace the one I just sold. Only difference is I'd have him do up a suspension system with it.
Those are the only two swords on my "real" list. There are a few other swords I'd like to own, however.
