I have one more coming in, the Windlass Ulfberht Viking Sword next.

That will put me at 16 blades for now since I started collecting in September. I think I might hold off picking up more until after the Holidays. Besides I've been wanting to pick up that 70m-200m F/2.8 IS II Canon zoom lens I've had my eye on for awhile now.

So I took a quick pic of what I've got again so far. I need to get more stands or something to display these nicer again.

So I just started collecting swords about a month ago. I've had a nice set of kitchen knives I had been collecting already though so I'll include pics of those as well. Here's what I so far:

Knives:
13 piece Saber Brand knives - back to $199 at costco if anyone is looking for best bang for the buck kitchen knife set.

The Princess Bride rapiers are strictly nostalgia pieces. Afraid the blade lengths aren't serious rapieresque stock.

Strongblade.com is selling them. It is a beautiful sword. To make it like the movie makes it seriously blade heavy though.

I do have a few more purchases planned at least. I'm getting the Conan swords made by Windlass when they get released soon. At least the father and atlantean ones for sure. Maybe the valera sword. I wish someone was making the sword of Subotai though as I liked that one as well. I might get the mother sword that another armory is making.

Beyond that there are some longswords and arming swords I'm interested in. I have an eclectic sense of taste when it comes to these things at least.

I purchased one of the Roberts swords on the day they were released and it was not like a rapier at all. It's a fun piece, though. Mine had a rattly hilt, but I still almost kept it for nostalgia and the "cool" factor.

ah, the length. Misread that. Just though he said that it wasn't rapieresque stock. Or was refering to windlass's past tendency to make blades to thin and whippy.

The inigo montoya is a few inches longer than the roberts one, but some of that is because of the longer hilt. My roberts blade is solid through out though. The inigo I dislike the gold paint on it. It will eventually flake off I'm sure which sucks. Oh well, they are great for nostalgia as stated.

Thanks. On strongblade you can do your own inscription. It's pretty easy. It's also free with that sword. Usually a $15 or so charge on other blades they allow inscriptions. The Tristan Blade is so wide and thick though that it is easy to put on an inscription on. Basically the way you set up your inscription is pretty damn cool. Tons of fonts to chose from. Tons of styles, sizes, and what not. So I picked out a nice long movie quote. I'll take a picture of it later when I get off work to show you guys.

Hey Humblepie. That rack must be seriously bolted to the wall, lot a weight there to have hanging that is sharp and pointy. Good effort on getting the lowlander up too, mine just stands in the corner too big to do anything in the house with as yet. For only a month you got some great pieces that are displayed well.

Saw that, but that version just doesn't do it for me. Something is too plain and "industrial" about it that doesn't make it seem like the one from the movie. It has about the right shape and such, but it just doesn't look right to me.
