Is there anywhere that I can find a functional replica of this sword? My dad owns an original, and I've been searching for one but I can only find replicas of the Confederate models.

Not aware of a an available French M1829 Arty Saber. Chevalier D'Auvergne makes french reps. But I don't think this one is there. fcsutler.com/fcswordsabers.aspFall Creek Sutler sells an Ames US type copy of the French. Both copies and originals pop up on ebay fairly often.

Nah not the M1829 Artillery Saber, a cabbage chopper. The model 1832 is on the site that you linked to, but I'd like to find a repro model 1831 to match the antique.

My faux. Not a large market for briquets. The 1832 is all I've seen.
