Welcome to the forum, Wolf. I have no personal experience with any of those swords, but I know several of our members do. However, based on the often glowing reviews, I'd also suggest looking into the Hanwei Raptor series (between 224$ and 239$ USD at Kult of Athena) or the Dynasty Forge Musha series (229$ at KoA).
Also, it's well outside your budget (450$ at KoA), but I'd also like to point out the Hanwei Bamboo Mat, one of Hanwei's recent releases (relatively speaking). Reviews have implied it is one of the best they've released and it has a very simplistic beauty with a gorgeous hamon; it also cuts like a demon, from what I've seen. Again, I know it's outside your budget, but I felt you'd like to be aware of it in case you felt like saving up a little more.

Hi Wolf, I think you would benefit greatly from reading through the Japanese sword section as well as the review section to gather a much broader scope of what's available for your budget. I have nothing against your selection thus far but just so you know, it is a fairly small grouping of vendors currently in the market. many members join us coming directly from the SBG store but it is a little outdated and can use some sprucing up here and there. since this would be your first purchase, you might as well take some more time to decide what would be best for you and there is a HUGE amount of information available within this forum to help in your quest. plus it's also very enjoyable to look over so many beautiful blades.
good luck and enjoy!

Welcome aboard, wolf warrior. Since you're a beginner and will likely be using your sword, I'd nominate the Ronin Katana 1060 Dojo Pro. It is a well-made and tough sword. I have a 1045 Dojo Budget, and while the blade is great, the fittings were not very good and I had to have it re-wrapped and the samegawa replaced. The 1060 Dojo Pros don't seem to have these problems. Also, Kris Cutlery makes a very fine katana. I just got one and it is very nice, and the geometry is great. I also have a Cheness Kaze, and while I love mine and it is very well made, it seems that they have fallen off a bit and the chance of getting a poor piece is very real. The Hanwei's all have sharp blades, but are supposedly fairly susceptible to chipping, and some of the components they use are not great. The SBG custom and the Kuramono are nice. They have occasionally been seen to have not great wrapping for the handle, chipping sayas and sometimes loose fittings. I think that the Ronin or maybe a Kris would be best. Tough and sturdy, both. Again, it's great to have a new member, and ask any and all questions you need.
