Advice on Having Wood Handles Made?

Hello all.
Here's what I need (eventually): A wood worker with a lathe who is cabable of reproducing a round handle exactly as my model handle, and from nicer wood.
No idea what the price range should be for this?
Not sure what type wood although I prefer something exotic, or especially with stripes.
I will saw them into two halves myself probably.
Been too busy lately, but I've been stuck in my house a few days to look after my wife who just gave me (another) baby girl.
So I finally had a chance to go out back and chop out a much better, thicker "Template" prototype
Of my own design sword style.
It came out pretty awesome.
The handle attached on my other thinner template version came off an umbrella handle.
(Go ahead and laugh ,I don't care, it's an awesome shape for this)
It's round with seven grooves (perfect "Hand-and-half" IMO).
I had cut it in half, and attached it with two 1/4" rivets through the tang.
Made me worried about reproducing the same shape, and I could not find the same umbrella anywhere. ...
Until !!! I was working scrap and found another one (Forum rules , no talk about "religion" so that's all on that find)
I'd eventually be ordering a bunch of them.
I also have plans for a leather version (similar to the leather washer stacks on a Kabar handle).
Also I have no idea what steel this sheet was, but it put off lots of yellow, orange, white sparks.
And the (un-hardened) edges are very sharp...wasn't planning to heat treat it, but maybe I'll try(?)
Thanks in advance for any advice, price range estimates/ guesstimates, etc.
I'll check back when I can.
