We at Generation 2 (Imperial Weapons) have been looking into re-doing these knives again.
But the last thing I want is to diminish the value of the 200 each we have done, and I want to be fair to people who did not get them and also very fair to those who did.
You can see these 2 knives as well as the Searle's Fowler Bowie we are doing now.

So I am asking and proposing some ideas and I would like input on this please.
1. To be fair and not hurt the value and collect ability of the Primitive Musso Bowie and the Iron Mistress Bowie knife.
2. How we can re-do these and they not hurt the ones out there and also so people who are still asking for them.
So here are 2 ideas that have been bounced around:
1. Many of you know we are working on a twisted cable steel Damascus version of both knives and we talked about only doing 100 worldwide of each.
So instead of doing just 100, we have thought about doing either 50 per year or 100 per year and the authenticity card we provide show that and the corresponding year, whether 50 or 100 for that year. This would keep the demand and collect ability high.
The cost for each due to the increase in brass from the Primitive and stainless steel for the Iron Mistress, and overall steel increase since we have done these would be $399.00 to $359.00 each and include the belt frog.
2. For those who may not be able to afford the Damascus we though how do we make it and do it exactly and hurt the 200 out there of those who were blessed to receive one.
As you know we did not do any manufacturer marking on the knife whatsoever. So to come back as we did, we would have to put our G2 mark on each, then also state that on the card and make only 50 or 100 per year.
My 2 biggest concerns on doing them this way is this:
1. The cost! Since we produced these knives the cost for material and the falling dollar value on buying material causes us to spend more the selling price on these would be higher than before. The price could be from $239.00 to $259.00 each. That concerns me.
2. Making them close and yet distinguishing them apart from the 200 originals we did. How do we make them different so as not to hurt those 200.
So I need help. Which is the best way to go and HOW!
P.S. Now this is what others have suggested:
" I had read somewhere that the original Musso Bowie had a blade nearly 14 inches long. How about making a kinfe in that range? That would be
a different version of the original one you made before and, I would be interested, especially with a standard steel blade."
And I am liking that idea and we would make only 100 per year on the Primitive. Now what about the Iron Mistress?
Any ideas??
