That looks pretty good. If you used hishigami, your "diamonds" will be smaller and more crisp. I tried wrapping a bokken for practice too and man, it sure adds a lot of bulk to the tsuka. I think learning how to do tsukamaki is a great idea for anyone who collects katanas.

Thanks. Yeah. I'll learn to do the hishigami before I ever try a real wrap for sure. I also found that due to the looseness of the wrap on this when it came I didn't have enough ito to go all the way to the bottom, as I made it very tight. Having no same also meant no grip for the wrap, so it was pretty slippery. Good practice run, though.
