Decent quality tachi or fittings simply can't be had in that price range, period. But I found something: cgi.ebay.ca/4028-Jpanese-Samurai ... 4cf84dc6da Even that's on the low end of the spectrum, price-wise, and not a complete set. Good luck with your search.

I check ebay pretty much everyday for different fittings, every now and then something good pops up, keep your eyes peeled, I will too.
I take it your just looking for kabuto-gane (kashira) and the same shape kojiri and maybe semegane too? The fuchi are all the same pretty much. I personally dont like the big aishi sageo knots, I prefer the simpler ones with a kurigata.

Ok I posted this in your cool sword thread, www.japanese-swords.com/pages/hondachi.htm but these are all over $100, from $250 and up there. Partially due to the cost of silver going up. For sub $100 your options are pretty limited to be honest. Decent tachi tsuba can cost you $100 alone. Tachi basic tsuba www.bugei.com/tachi-tsuba-061-502-prd1.htmTachi Sageo can cost $50 or more depending on the quality and material since it is longer than katana sageo. Tachi Sageo www.bugei.com/tachi-sageo-432-prd1.htmIt seems like your best bet would be either saving your money, taking your time to buy a decently priced production tachi, or if you really want one now, buy a cheaper tachi and dismantle it for the parts. I would however say that the destruction of a cheap sword to get the fittings is probably not worth it. From what others have said when attempting similar they have found flaws in fittings, glued on tsuka, and parts that would not fit on their higher quality swords they were planning to use the parts on. Generally what seems to happen is those cheap blades are cheap for a reason.

I think you will really be impressed with what ebay has to offer occasionally. Buy the parts seperate form another imo. Can you show us any pics of what exactly you want?
