j. , do you practise Tai Chi? I like the look of this jian, and perhaps when I get into the sword sets a little more, I'll dish out the $$$.

nice score ! and he's right( the original purchaser), a lot of chinese forges seem to give the steel a really heavy etch to bring out the layers when they actually look so much nicer (and authentic) with a more subdued finish.
