Does anyone know of a place that sells high grit 24" sanding belts? I haven't been able to find anything higher than 200 at any semi-local retailers, and even online I can't seem to find anything above 400. They can be anywhere from 1" to 4" wide.

Those are all 30" and 42" belts. I was actually in Lee Valley today to confirm that they didn't have what I wanted. (On a side note the Lee Valley physical store was probably my most unpleasant shopping experience ever in a hardware store.)
It's possible to cut and re-stitch a 30" into a 24" but that is quite a pain, and wastes 6" of sandpaper every time.

I'm still searching but damn, you are right- the combination you require is rare. Have you looked at ordering a roll and cutting to length? Better than wasting some each time you cut down a long belt.
