Extraordinary collection, and to think it's a small part of what you used to have O.o Still wouldn't put that much pointy steel in my bedroom...bad for Feng Shui, my mom says, heh, but you don't want to put sharp bits of metal in the walls of a Chilean apartment. Consider yourself lucky that you don't live in a seismic country

RobrtLand : Its NOT in my Bedroom... its in my game room. That room has nothing in it but the blades, D&D books, RenFaire Clothes and Belts and Baldrics... and my poker table. Aaron: Correct. Everything is in the game room, except the three tier stand that's on the mantle in the living room, and the Oni Forge was pictured on my couch. It doesn't have a home yet till it is re-finished. Travis: You can come and do some plucking... you might be out one epic Odinblade as you leave tho. Saito: Actually, there are 5 Fable Blades... I used to have 6 but alas had to part with one. Marc: Used to be more of your old blades here brother... and I wish they were still here. You've some fine ones that used to be mine as well. How incestuous our community can be. William: Well, it FEELS like my collection has been gutted... my Albion's are all gone... my Munich, Squire, Regent, Burgundian, Knightly... many of my favorite Atrims... XII, XIIa, XVIa, Falchion...

Ah! so someone other than two or three at MyArmoury got it!.. The A&A German Bastard sword! How does it perform, Sean? I need to change a door in my house and I would very very like to turn the old one into toothpicks with that beastie  ..

Its a beast... I don't know why they call it a bastard sword, its not, its clearly a two handed war sword. The hilt is so massive that it brings the weight close to your hands, so when its moving, it doesn't feel quite as heavy as it is. This might sap some of its raw cutting power... but there is PLENTY cutting power so I've not noticed a problem. However... its one of if not the most beautiful sword in my collection.

It's good to know you're not lonely there when Foxxy's away. Looks very homely :-)

Indeed... My love for her Fable Blade is strong... I'm still somewhat jealous... I love her sword so much. Its in the top three best handling swords I've ever handled, and its not mine.

Dude, I'm really liking that Austrian great sword and that prototype XIV. How do they handle?

The Austrian WarSword is awesome... powerful cutting, moves well... its one of the best Atrims there are. I've owned over 20 different atrims... its the best cutting two handed Atrim. The XIV is out of my typical area of preference... its longer then I normally like for a single handed sword. That said... its VERY well balanced... its a wonderful 'do everything' sword. Cut, stab, parry... it moves very well.

Question for you sir on two of the swords.
How's the Panabas handle? I feel like that could have a disproportionally high cutting power.
Also, how's the Low-lander? I'm about 6'5" so a sword that large has some attraction for me.

I'm in love with the Panabas because of its very unique looks... and its a strong cutter for sure. My problem with it is I have no background in FMA so I'm not sure how its meant to be used. I'd love to get a better sense of its true method of use/technique. The LowLander is, for me, pretty much for looks. The thing is just TOO damn big. I'm not a weak guy... but I'm nowhere near as big as you at only 5'10, so its just to massive and unwieldy for me. It is, however, the first sword people notice and ask about in a room with nearly 40 weapons... so its a eye grabber.
