Aguila SSS Subsonic Sniper .22lr ammo

My father heard from a friend of his that this stuff was a fantastic long distance .22lr ammunition for the price. At short range it is a lethal small game killer and at longer distances (out to 200+ yds) its still an effective small game round. Its also subsonic which means its less likely to wobble after 100 or so yds when it comes back through the sonic barrier. This means better accuracy and consistency. Its also been claimed by other shooters my father knows to be more consistent in muzzle velocity - keeping hi's and lows to within only 50fps of each other. I find this to be really good because we've found ourselves that the velocity of more readily available subsonic ammo (like Remington Subsonics) vary as much as 200fps between rounds in the same box. Remington subsonics produce a 4" group at 200yds with a Savage MKII BTV. This stuff is supposed to group a lot tighter than that. My father, after hearing all of this, placed an order for 1000rds of the stuff. I'm going to get half that order for my testing and my father will test the other half. If we both approve he'll order more of it for regular use (ie. squirrel hunting, pest control and mini-palma shooting).
So there's 500rds of this ammo coming my way and it should be in my hands tomorrow or the day after. I'm planning on shooting it out of a stock Ruger 10/22 and an AR-15 with a CMMG .22lr upper. I'll take shots at 25, 50, 75, 100 and 200yds with it to test accuracy. I don't know however what to use for testing impact power - this ammo is supposed to hit really hard. I want to see for myself just how hard. I'd thought of putting my spinner targets out for a side by side comparison but I'd read on other forums (rimfirecentral etc) that this ammo really tears up spinners meant for .22lr at 25 and 50yds and I'm kind of leery on the idea of sacrificing my spinners.
Anyway I've done a lot of research on this ammunition and found a few things to be a commonality amongst all that I've read so I'll take it as reliable:
1. This ammunition is dirty - leaves a lot of residue in both the chamber and the bore.
2. It hits harder (a lot harder) than your normal subsonic .22lr and at longer distances harder than a normal .22lr.
3. Its accuracy is near match grade but not at match grade price (stories of putting 5rd groups in the same hole at 25yds and 2" groups at 200yds abound).
4. This ammunition is NOT quieter than a standard .22lr in a firearm without a can. However with one it is deathly quiet.
5. A standard .22lr rifle barrel is not going to stabilize it well enough to make it as accurate as it can be. Ideally it has to be shot through a 1:10 or faster rate of twist barrel to bring out its best accuracy. Many have reported sub-MOA groups at 200yds with a 1:9 barrel.
6. Shooting through a silencer with a barrel that has a 1:16 rate of twist can and does result in baffle strikes.
Now obviously since I do not own any silencers I cannot test points 4 and 6 about silencers. I can however test everything else and intend to do so. The only thing is that my current financial situation does not allow me to purchase a 1:9 twist barrel for my stock 10/22 nor does it allow me to purchase a drop in .22lr conversion for my AR. As such the ammunition will only be shot through 1:16 barrels since both rifles are equipped that way. I'll do my best to post pictures (taken with my crappy phone camera) of the tests when I get a chance to go to the range with them.
Now I have a couple of questions for the members of this forum that are interested in firearms:
1. How many of you have heard of this round and how many of you have had personal experience with this round?
2. If you've had personal experience with this round is it something you would recommend it as something to be used on a regular basis for the purposes I've stated above?
3. Would you recommend building a rifle around this round? If so what would you recommend?
4. What would you recommend as an inexpensive (as close to free as possible) medium for testing the bullet's effectiveness upon impact?
Thanks in advance for your help.
