I was looking to purchase a bow and I know Kult of Athena generally makes good weapons, but does anyone know anything about their bows?
I'm hesitant purchasing a bow online, but I'd feel better if the place was reputable.

Kult of Athena is a retailer only; they do not make any of the products they sell. I have the TES Mongol bow that they sell and its a pretty nice bow for the price.

I believe some of their better recurve bows are made by quality Hungarian makers like Grozer. I don't know about some of the cheaper offerings. Here's a link to some Hungarian bows: www.classic-bow.com/catalog/

I have no experience with KoA's offering of bows, but if you are looking for a reputable and affordable place to buy bows online, check out this ebay store: stores.ebay.com/KP-Archery/_i.ht ... 1437072017 I bought my first longbow from them and I plan on buying a higher poundage here shortly. It came fast and I couldn't be any happier with the first one that I got. Now I know what you are thinking, "A good longbow for $50?" I know I know, it's hard to believe. But this is a straight up "No Frills" bow. There aren't any risers/holders/grips/tips or doodads. It's little more then a carved stick, but it's an excellently carved stick.

I own a Grozer TRH horsebow #80 @28, and I have to say, if you can string it, it's almost as fast as some of the compound bows out there.
