I'd suggest getting the right nut for the pommel (might take some looking) and threading it, or email Albion and see what they suggest.

hmmm i think ill just peen it, seems easyer than "threading it" as i have no idea how thats done nor the required tools whatever they are. and after handling the tinker viking...i kinda like the peened pommel actually :lol: thanks for letting me know it was peened historically, i had thought so myself but i didnt know for sure. +1 for helping me out big time, and on short notice

You can buy dies for tapping shafts in Home Depot and Lowe's. Just make sure to match it to the nut and round the tang off before you screw on the threading die. Always glad to be of help...
