Hello. This is the second knife I'll be reviewing today. It is the Elk Ridge Hunting Knife, had for $19.16 at Amazon.com.
Technical Details
# Measurements include 12 3/8-Inch overall and 7 1/4-Inch blade # Features a 440 stainless clip point blade # Finger groove laminated wood handle # Comes with stainless guard and pommel # Made in China
These are the numbers off of the Amazon site, and are accurate to my knowledge.
Here are some pictures.
This is a simple clip point "hunting knife" design. I'm not sure of its origin.
This is a fairly sturdy knife. It came with no flaws such as wiggle in the blade or chips in edge. It is fairly sharp, but not as sharp as the Winchester Bowie I also reviewed. I like the overall design, but wish that they had gone with a darker colored wood for the handle as it is a bit too red for me to love. The handle is a bit too fat for small-handed me, larger than the handle on the considerably larger Bowie. I cannot tell if it full tang or not, and I cannot vouch for its toughness as i have not had a chance to rough it up. It is balanced directly where the wood ends and the hand-guard begins.
Pros: Solid Inexpensive Good value
Cons: Wish different handle material had been used Handle is too fat for my small hands
Final thoughts: The only gripes on this knife are for reasons that are purely personal taste. It has no real faults to speak of, and is a good value for the money. Between the two, I like the Bowie slightly more, but would purchase again.

Seems like a nice, traditional-styled knife. Thanks for the review and the pictures man

Thanks, Sebastien. It was actually your review of the Kershaw Skyline that gave me the idea. I'd always just thought about Japanese sword reviews and never really checked out the "Other Weapons" reviews.

Yeah, Sebastian has the monopoly on knife reviews around here. Great review, and like Seb said, keep'em coming.
