Been peeking around this site for a few months now. Started an account but I never got the confirmation e-mail think it went to spam. Anyways about 5 months ago I won what I believed to be a wall hanger katana at a local gun show. When I got it home I realized I had come away with something much better. It came with a piece of paper that listed all its dimensions and had the word munetoshi on the side. After researching on the internet I finally found it listed as the T10 Munetoshi Akitsushina. Unfortunately I believe it had been unproperly stored for a long time and the metal on the guard looked awful and was quite loose. The ito which is pictured very bright red was extremely dull and had soaked in a ton of oil. After weeks of work and mistakes I was able to replace and rebulid the sword and immediately took it out to vanquish some evil plastic bottles. Cutting them was effortless before I knew it I was out of bottles and couldn't wait to do it again. So the addiction starts...
I had always been very intrested in euro swords but always had more important things to spend my money on. However I couldnt fight the urge anymore and after saving for a few weeks I purchased the Generation 2 Black Prince. I selected the basic ups ground shipping and got it 2 business days later! Lucky for my plastic bottles its been raining all day and they haven't been sliced to pieces. The blade comes extremely sharp so be careful unwrapping it. It was wrapped in 4 layers of newspaper and a plastic wrap. After removing the second layer of newspaper I went to flip the sword over my dog clipped the handle causing me to squeeze the edge and it drew blood easily. I was unaware the blade wasn't sheathed underneath the newspaper or I would have been much more careful unwrapping it. I plan on doing a review on it since I haven't seen one for the updated version on here. Probably be a few weeks in order to give it a fair test. Im not however planning any "tests to destruction" I would like to enjoy it for a while.
