Condor 13" Kukri $23.95
Condor 14" Golok $29.99
Condor 17" Parang $26.95
Imacasa 14 1/2" Daga $19.99
Imacasa 25" Panga $22.99
Tramontina 12" & 14" Bush machetes
Pictured is the 14" model. Both $5.99
Tramontina 14" Bolo $6.45
Hansa 15 1/2" Paracaidista w. green canvas sheath $12.99 $5.99
Condor Bush Cutlass 24" carbon steel blade $52.95 with leather sheath. My fiancee loves this.
The Kukri, Parang and Bush Cutlass were purchased through knifecenter.com.
The rest were purchased through machetespecialists.com
The Imacasa machetes needed a belt sander to put an edge on them. Tramontinas were paper cutting sharp out of the box and sing when you pluck them. They`re superior quality machetes I`ve bought before and been very happy with. Hansa appeared to be a complete piece of $#!t. Dullest out of the lot. Spent the most time at the belt sander with this one. I`ll now take a file and a stone to it to see just what I can do to make it serviceable.
The Condor machetes are well worth it. Bargains, in fact. Fiancee was ecstatic over these. Beautiful pieces of work. Almost too nice to take into the bush. The handles aren`t exactly rough, not "slivers in your hand" rough. They do have tool marks on them from the carver, but they have been sanded afterwards. I`m pleased with them, and have no problems grasping them. Will not be doing any additional work on the Condors myself. Brilliantly polished cutting edges. These could easily be sold for double what they`re asking for them. These Condor blades are some of the very nicest blades I`ve ever acquired. Buying the sheaths will almost double your purchase price. I opted to buy them without. Bush Cutlass came with one; had no option.
The guys at work, when they saw me sharpening the Hansa and Daga at the belt sander asked "You oughtta take that in the office and ask [the manager] for a raise"; "You going on a killing spree this weekend"? "Gonna re-enact Rwanda"?
