Hey just starting a fun tread wondering how many times any of your belt sanders have caught on fire? ;D

Ive caught the tip of a sword more than once, shredding fabric belts. I had a cheap angle grinder that released its magic smoke after only 45minutes grinding (The magic smoke is the life giving force that makes machinery work. Once the magic smoke is released thay stop living.)

Does it have to be a belt sander? Cuz I don't own one (I can't own nice power tools...).
Black smoke of death...30+ power tools (I stopped counting after 30)...
Actually on fire...9 power tools.
Exploded...1 power tool.
Yeah...I kill power tools.

Well I count the exploded one as also caught on fire...since err well, there was fire...oh was there ever fire (shield I was working on caught on fire...along with the curtains and carpet...pretty sure the motor was on fire too...).

Wow... That doesn't sound fun. Well it wasn't then...but it's one hell of a story now . And yes, my friends hide their powertools from me...especially dremals (I'm very good at destroying those).

Beat up tools is a sign of a poor craftsman. Hey all my manual tools are in perfect shape and I use them more then power tools (for rather obvious reason). Not my fault power tools hate me (actually it may have to do with the fact that I'm a electronics hobbist so I tend to fiddle with my power tool ala tim the toolman tailor...). Of course the fact that I'm a living version of that TV character might be why powertools hate me for all eternality... I swear I did nothing to my friends dremal... .
