I recently purchased a Skyline and a Tanto Blur from a local Walmart--my first Kershaw knives. My decision to purchase this Kershaw was based upon this very same nutnfancy review. He also has an interview with the knife designer, Tommie Lucas, in this vid: The knife seems well made and the blade is very sharp. The G10 scales are fitted well and have some bite. It's fun to just operate the opening/closing function of the knife, which is what I think most Kershaw owners do. Just watch someone with a Kershaw AO repeatedly open/close his knife. It's like some nervous tick. The knife does feel short even when contrasted with my spyderco Delica 2nd gen which ironically enough has a shorter handle and overall length (7"). What do you think of the Skyline's liner lock?

Ghost ; Thanks for the comment & karmas man . The fact that there's only one steel liner lightens this knife IMO. Larry ; Thanks for the comment ! I like the Skyline linerlock. It doesn't feel weak, isn't very hard to close and isn't uncomfortable to use. My other linerlocks don't have all these qualities ; my Spyderco Tenacious has sharp & uncomfortable gimping on it, my Ontario Pardue folder has a weak feeling one and my Cold Steel Ti-Lite doesn't want to be unlocked ... So, yeah, I like the Skyline's linerlock ! Edit : The Spyderco Delica is very near the top of my everchanging buying list. Knowing Spyderco skills with ergonomics, I'm not surprised that the Delica's grip feels less tight than the Skyline's. BTW what do you think of the Delica ?

I've owned and given many Delicas. I carried one from '98 to '07 when I opted for something larger.
The Delica blade shape is unusual--rather pointy with minimal belly. But I do like the ease of opening and solid lockup. The Delica (in its 2nd and 3rd gen linerless construction) is <2oz. I'm still carrying my 2nd gen.
The Skyline spear point blade with its heft looks like a much more useful EDC blade.

Thanks for the info about the Delica. I am often EDCing a Spyderco Endura and it is a very nice folder (very light and comfortable for its lenght), but with a long 3 3/4'' blade that might make police officers suspicious of my intents lol. I'll probably get a Delica to have an even lighter EDC knife.

The 4th gen Delica is a more substantial knife. I think I weighed mine at 2.5 oz. Not much heavier, but it feels different and the handle geometry has changed--longer--which I think is a good thing. They are available in FFG (full flag ground) blades in addition to the traditional hollow ground. And the FFGs come in colorful handles--purple, green, blue, grey and brown. And, yes, pink is available

I'll probably get the green, blue or black version ... The only pink knife I ever bought was mostly for charity
