Hi, everyone!

I'm new to this forum and thought I'd drop a line to introduce myself. I'm 33 years old, and I live in Brussels (Belgium). I'm a writer with a soft spot for SF and fantasy. Most likely, my interest in swords comes from the latter—no surprise there, I suppose.

I'm considering buying my first sword, so I registered here. I've read quite a few reviews from forum members, as well as tons of valuable advices for beginners. This place is a fount of answers; it's great.

I'm on a budget (comes with my choice of profession

), so I'll start with something small and take it from there. (I'm looking at Kult of Athena's choice of medieval European swords as I'm writing this.)

Welcome! If you have any questions about a sword you're thinking about buying, post in the Beginners Forum and you'll find that folks around here are eager to give advise. I myself like getting a new sword so much that even just the thought of someone else (especially someone relatively new to this terrible, bank account draining habit) getting a new sword gets me excited.
