This may be one of the dumbest questions ever and i may have missed something somewhere. But ive been wondering for ALONG time now. Cant find any info from google on it ('I' cant, not saying it isnt there) What is the emperor node? I know its on the top of the... head? Anyway what is it? And i relation to Tsuka rapping why is it important? Im asking as i really only hear about it (and google only find stuff) to do with Japanese swords, when you use words like 'emperor node' Is it called that or is that just the term in sword making?

Thanks for that post, i know 'what' they look like and i figured the come from the top of the ray. I have a stingray wallet with them on it and i wondered what is the significance? Especially with Japanese swords? And what exactly are they or are they just like a finger print on us for example?

I'll guess it had something to do with status. Lesser samurai had lesser quality samegawa (fewer/smaller emperor nodes) on their swords? *shrugs*

Mynar is right about the statis, lower ranking Samuri would not have to good part with the node, and it reminds them of the pearl on the step...

That makes sense as the older the ray the bigger the node. So young rays would have little ones and the older more sought after ones would have bigger? Sorta like people who trophy fish they don't get happy over a little fish? This answer's some of my question
