I recently purchased a Hanwei Bone Handled Rapier with the standard sharp blade. I was also hoping to use this sword for some renaissance style fencing. Previously, I had borrowed schlager weapons from people for this, but was hoping to get my own. Hanwei makes a schlager blade that is the correct length for the Bone Handled Rapier, but it does not specifically list that rapier one it fits with. Does anyone know if it would be compatible? Also if it is not Hanwei offer a "practical" blade for the Bone Handled Rapier. Does anyone know how this differs from a schlager blade?
Thanks for your help.

Hanwei does make a schlager replacement blade however it may or may not fit your sword without some alteration.
They can be found for around $40.

I don't think their dchlaeger blade works on anything but the rapier it ships with, just looking at the two blades' tangs they seem to be quite different. Not sure but I think the practical blade is a lot stiffer than the schaleger and meant more for HEMA/stagefighting than traditional rapier fencing.

Thanks for all the responses. Maybe I will just have to get another rapier that supports the schlager blade.
