I don't watch these clips, but I often check the ratings of the blades. I have to admit, I took some pleasure in learning that the Chris Reeve Green Beret didn't take punishment as well as far cheaper knives.

I wasn't happy with the Kabar USMC test.(lol, I am quite biased since it is one of my favorites) He broke it off at the tang quite bit earlier than other stainless knives. However, I noticed he banged on the guard so many times, before the 2x4 cross grain test. He probably created several stress fractures without even noticing that he was doing so. The knife could have taken a lot more if he stayed away from the guard or hacked it off. The D2 Extreme Kabar look very tough - too bad it's totally ugly.
Any reason you don't watch the clips Seb? (I don't think he's weird or anything) The hockey mask initially made me think he was a bit on the loony side, but after watching a bit - it looks like he using it moreso for face protection. He only talks about the knives - but sure he does some bizarre tests. (spearing the TV) After watching the CS Bushman clip, I was very impressed by his engineering & comp. skills. I just like him for being objective - though most of his tests are flawed. I mean how can one do an accurate destruction test of the SOG Seal 2000 only underwater?

Only reason I don't watch the whole clips is that they don't entertain me much. It's the same thing that goes between me and 35 minutes long knife review clips, I get bored and start watching something else. I like the idea of ''destroying'' knives to test their toughness, but watching the whole process bores me.
BTW it has been a long time since he made new knife tests.
