Pics of a couple of custom daggers. I'm about to put these up for sale on our website; I'm tired of looking at them. The first is hand forged 1095, fitted with a brass oval guard and brass disc pommel, and a grip of twisted acrylic rod. The sheath is hand stitched and hand-dyed 12 ounce veg-tanned leather. The second is also hand forged 1095 but has been fitted with a facetted brass guard and langettes along the grip, with a brass ball pommel and pinned scales. The scales are a native Texas hardwood called black willow or swamp willow; we cut them from the heartwood of a 75 foot tall master specimen that came down in a windstorm.Again, The sheath is hand stitched and hand-dyed 12 ounce veg-tanned leather. I have a fighter and a bowie going too; I'll post pics later.

Those are STUNNING looking blades; how can you be tired of looking at them?!
How much do such items go for, BTW?

Looks like $400 a piece. Very nice, but too rich for my blood. I'm more of a ballock dagger guy anyways.

Ok, I saw where you got those numbers and thanks- they are wrong and I have corrected the error. The daggers are $295.00 each and the website has been fixed.

I don't know how it is with other folks but whenever I look at something I make it seems like all I see are the areas I need to improve. Chen Chao Po said something to the effect of "I am happy with every thing but satisfied with none" and I guess that sums it up.
Thank you.

I like them, anyhow. I'd be happy with being able to forge a basic knife SHAPE, let alone a knife as cool as that. It'll be at least a year before I try knife making. Nothing fancy for a long time, either. Just cooking knives and hoof-knives.

I know what you mean Dan, I'm a perfectionist in my head but it's so hard to achieve on the metal. Coz we made them we know what we would have done differently.
They're great designs Dan.

I like the second one. Is that one of the few I didn't want to put down when I visited your shop? I know there were a couple, and that one is striking something... I seem to recall something about wootz, though, so maybe this is a different one... Wow, my memory is horrible. $295, eh? If only I had it...

I like the first one, it is freaky. The second one is kinda ugly.
