That was bad ass... I thought of you on that one Mike, being you are the only guy I know who owns a Tommy Gun.

I liked the blowgun elimination too, but the tommygun setup was really neat. I also thought the challenge with the "floating" platforms was cool. I do wish they would leave out all the drama and just focus on shooting, but I guess they need the drama for ratings.

I'm going to apply for Season 4. Seriously though I have fantasized about being able to get on that show - I'd love to do all that stuff but well I doubt I'd be able to get on. If I did I'd probably get eliminated on the season opener. lol. I did however download the application for that show (Season 4) and it asks stuff like, "What kind of person makes you the angriest?" and "What kind of people can you NOT stand?" as well as "What do you think is the BEST and WORST thing about you? DON'T HOLD BACK". Then I love the "If you won the $100k what is the first thing you would do with it?" They also want an application video - and I'm not exactly photogenic so there goes this fantasy. LOL

I don't like how little trigger time they get and how much they focus on modern weapons. They really should use the odd weapons more. The odd weapons are a simple, just make it work type...I wanna see trick shots with a longbow, spears and tomahawks. They did say that it's suppose to be somebody good with ANY weapon right? Course, having them do something like that would probably make them look bad. I don't know, I have it in my mind to try out for either this or top chef. Both seem like it can be fun and I can learn a lot from it. Not really in it to win it...just learn from it.

Its not so much to win - its more I doubt I'd even get picked because while I may seem rather contrary and crass here on the forum I don't think I'm dramatic enough irl to be considered for the show. lol
Remember it is a reality show and they need wimps, asses and jerks etc... not your average joe who doesn't really give a semprini about drama.

I thought this show had a helluva finish this season. George showed some class. Brian held strong. And Chris stepped up. I really enjoyed catching the finale.

Great end to this season... I started off not liking this season as much as the first... but ended liking it a whole lot more. I was happy to see Chris win... tho once it was down to 4 and Jamie was gone... I was really pulling for Joe. I just think he was the all around nicest guy there... stayed above the drama... and had some amazing shooting performances. When he smoked Ashley for instance... bad ass. Chris was the one reminded me a lot of you, Mike. I was blown away by George... just when I had decided he was the biggest douchebag ever... he goes and does what he did. Surprised the hell out of me... there is a lot more to that guy then taken on face value. Still wonder if he threw the last shot or not... :?: Good stuff.

I just finish watching the finale and vert happy for the winner Chirs , he remind me of many of army buddies, those humble down to earth ,loving husband and father who got up in the morning and just happy to be alive . One thing I learn for this show is that FN FAL rifle is not as good as M14 (or M1A ) it seem everyone had a heck of a time hitting target with FAL ,don't know why it was such a case 'cause it has nice sight system and huge muzzle brake to tame the recoil and all this shooters were Marine,Navy and Airforce guys .And to think that U.S. almost end up with one (the T-48)

I was surprised how much everyone hated the FN FAL rifle as well... :?: Is it really that bad? If so, who do so many countries use it?

The FAL is a very good rifle. My guess is, the one they had on the show was a crappy knock-off. Probably a Century Arms "reassamble" from parts. Every quality FAL I've every shot (6-8 of 'em) have been great.

I agree with mike my FN FAL is a great rifle I like it better than the M1A1 as far as a combat rifle goes. Yes the M1A1 (m14 ) is more accurate but I consider the FN FAL more relieable if the gas system is adjusted right. I sold a Springfield Armoury national match M1A1 but kept my Sringfield Armory SAR48 FN FAL.

Interesting... It would be one thing if only one or two of the guys didn't like it... but pretty much everyone seemed to hate it on the show... and a lot of em had plenty of Rifle experience. It surprised me that they all disliked it so much, knowing that it is such a widely used battle rifle in many other countries.

One of my coworkers is often heard saying: "I like my AR15, but love my FN/FAL." I'm pretty sure his FAL was assembled by these folks: Arizona Reponse Systems

It has very heavy trigger pull and the muzzle breake make it very lound so I guess if you get accustom to M16A2 then this extra loud bang , gas pushing backward and heavy trigger will be very distracting
