Konichiwa B.....s

Hi, I joined up about a week ago and somehow missed this part. I'm mike and I'm a bit of a weirdo. My interests growing up included skateboarding, kung fu movies and anime (no dubs please), science fiction books and cracking jokes. Most of these things I still do. I'm getting old to be skating every day, but I still like to cruise around. New hollywood kung fu movies suck. Funimation is evil, but there's still a few good ones every once in a while (Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagann). My sense of humor may or may not translate well in print. If you think I'm making an inappropriate comment, it's probably a joke.

I've had a bokken for years, but just started gaining interest in steel. Mid-life crisis? Maybe. I keep hearing the world's gonna end, so I guess I should have a sword at least. I don't think guns will work on the multi-dimensional aliens that are coming next year. So anyway, I decided to join you guys and learn what I can. I picked this forum over the other one, not because I hear the other one is full of snobs, but because it seems like there's more going on over here. I appreciate everyone sharing their input and knowledge, and hope to be able to do the same (or at least make somebody out there laugh).
