The light cutter has better fuchi kashira and tsuba. The Take uses alloy fittings, while the Light Cutter has Iron fittings.
I have the brown Take T10. It's pretty unbalanced and feels heavy. Be sure to disassemble to check for cracks on the tsuka and another other issues.
The Light Cutter should be also more balanced. It also weighs .1 lbs less.

I also have the Brown-on-Black Take T10. For the price, especially when compared to those in its class, it's a good deal. As far as I understand, the Light Cutter as well as the Matsu are better overall. Better fittings, as well as better balanced blades make the price gap( about $30 for Matsu; $40 for Light Cutter,) between them very reasonable. If you can, I'd go for the Light Cutter or the Matsu.

Assuming it falls in line with the other musashi 1060 blades it'll be a pretty nice light cutter for the price. It's on my list, granted rather far down since I'm more of a western sword guy.

alright so now I've narrowed it down to the Munetoshi Take, and the Musashi Speckled katana. Which one?

If it is your first one I would suggest the Musashi, should be good for learning and getting proper form down without it being a huge loss if it were to become dammaged (easer to fix i would also think), you would also still have some money left to start saving twards your next sword, just keep in mind no sword is ment for hard targets (wood/tanks) and even if you do get the Take i would still start out with light targets until you get used to it.
