I have been working on making a sword via stock removal, but have not been able to progress for several days due to the fact that i just cant seem to find a way to make the fuller. I have tried everything that I can think of and there is'nt any kind of clear guide to how it should be done, and if there is any right or wrong way to do it. I also read where Brenno made the fuller for his falchion, and was wondering if someone could clear this mess up.

Hey dude, I did a fuller on my new sword and had reasonable success with it. First you need a dremel. Scribe a straight line down the centre of where your fuller will be. Use a cutoff wheel on the dremel and carve a thin straight groove down the scribed line about 1mm deep, or maybe a smidge more. How straight you can keep this will dictate how straight your fuller is. Using diamond point tools on the dremel start making the trench wider. Start with about a 3mm wide point, hold the dremel along the blade and run it up and down the full length of the fuller. Obviously doing the full length at each stroke will keep it fairly even. Move on to wider and wider points, getting up to the widest size. Above is the kit I have, and it will make a fuller about 7 - 8mm wide. If you want it wider you can but wider points. Diamond points are WAY better than stones, coz stones shrink as you go along. Diamonds stay the same size. PS, post us some pics of your creation, I'm interested to see.

Thanks for the tip, Brenno. That definitely sounds like it would work; Ijust need to get those diamonds! I'll aso get on posting my progress. P.s. I'm changing my screenname, so the next sword project posting will probably still be me.
