Can anyone tell me what sword this is: It is the picture they have on the sword manufacturers guide for the ATrim Tactical line, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. (Or information on the tactical line in general :? ) It looks quite interesting. I was hoping for some other views, possible a review. That and to see what other goodies there are. (Other than the four on the Tried and True website).

It's a Zombie Slayer (no I'm not kidding). Check out Valiant Armory, I believe they are still being preordered and not yet in stock. There is a thread here on SBG when they were introduced.

More specifically that is the older model of Tactical long sword, with slab handles instead of a leather or paracord wrap. You can order the zombie slayer from VA's Custom Sword Shoppe with plastic scales like that, but the actual sword has a few minor differences. You can find it here for pre-order.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that a ridge that travels up the center of the blade? I've been seeing this type of thing pop up on random swords here and there, and I can't imagine that it would be beneficial to the cut in any other aspect except to add rigidity.

Isn't it a fuller Greg? Hard to tell in the pic but at the grip it looks like it goes under the scale to me

The Zombie Slayer is VA's 1060 reproduction based on the (pictured) original Angus Trim Tac Longsword, made by the man himself from 5160. I think Sonny's offering these in two different blade lengths right now, but Gus hasn't offered the original version for a few years.

just as a warning, if you are planning on getting one - get it now. The Zombie Slayers are set to go up in price (280 to 350) after the pre-order is gone. Soon as the shipment is in, Sonny may bump up the price.

I am surprised Sonny had not bump up the price on all of the Signature Line. Most of them are out-of-stock everywhere.
