Here is a shot of an old stone wheel grinder i picked up over the weekend. Works amazingly great, and is in VERY good condition. Thanks again to my friend Robert! Been searching for one of these, let alone one in such good condition for years!

Classic. What sort of grinding can you accomplish on such a stone age (geddit!?) piece of kit? Shaping, finishing or sharpening?
Looks really smart for it's obvious age. Nice find.

HAhAHAHAHAHAA:D!!!!!! Through the few times i have used it for, you can rough shape a forged blade, sharpen, finish to an extent i am sure even! It removes material like a 60 or 80 grit but leaves a finish like 220 or higher.

Sounds like a smart tool. A friend of mine has a miniature stone grinding wheel that he uses for removing machining marks from engine components but I usually just use a grinding stone in a dental drill for such work. Maybe he'll swap...

Two questions:
1. Is that a manual type thing where you have to operate it with your foot?
2. Is that thing coming off the side a seat (looks like a metal bicycle seat)?
