Basically what the link Kreig put up said. I still need to get a blower and put up the chimney but the forge itself is done. Fire in the center firepot, air comes up from underneath. The one handle on the bottom breaks up the clinker in front of the air grate, and the other handle dumps the ash out.

Just ordered the blower and some hammers from www.blacksmithdepot.comA 2.2 and 4.4 pound hammers, and the 164 CFM blower.

My mate and i are looking at setting up a coke forge in the shed, should be pretty cool we are looking at make our own reenactment helmets and blades. I am really looking forward to it, now we just have to work out where we can get the steel from.

Coke is often harder to find than coal, and burning coal makes your own coal coke mix which IMHO is better.
