Further to my quest. Could I have an opinion on the Del Tin DT5144? The scabbards are an extra $100, are they worth it?

With that blade it's not quite what I would think of as a 'typical' Crusades sword; swords more like the Hanwei/Tinker Great Sword, Norman, the Valiant Signature Crusader, etc, are more typical. Beyond that I can't really say further, but 14th-15th century is definitely out of place for the 3rd Crusade.
Haven't heard any reviews of Kult of Athena's leather scabbards-- they're a new addition-- you want to be the guinea pig? :wink:

That Dynasty Forge XI's pommel is pretty ahistorical IIRC, but aside from that it's a nice enough sword and if you can change out the pommel it's a fair enough sword for the Crusades.
