A new forumite has mentioned this seller: www.jp-katana.com/Called Brandin Sword- I swear the website looks familiar and the url too. HAve we discussd this seller yet? What does everyone think/know?

i believe brandonsword is an offshoot from ryansword. look at their products. i guruntee they r from the exact same forge

I remember a bunch of Ryansword-like experiences mentioned on the old forum, though a few people had higher-end Brandonswords that they were pleased with ($200-$300 range)... Other than that, I can't help much, sorry. :? I know that from what I recall, I'd stay away, though. Still, my memory is 100% or anything, so take what I say with a grain of salt. -Slayer

Related question- Don't TONS of swords all come from Longquan China? I know Ryan Swords says they source product from there- how many others do? (wonder if I should give this it's own thread?)

i dont know about lonquon swords, but ryans suck. they are very weak and poorly heat treated if heat treated at all. if you bump the edge against anything hard itl roll/bend. gotta give them credit in one aspect. their swords are sharp as hell

Longquan is, I think, one of the major manufacturing areas of China, so it's no surprise that's where a number of people go to get swords... Thus endeth my contribution to this thread
