Brand newbie here! I've been lurking for months, and first of all want to say thanks for all the informative posts out here - you all have really guided so many purchases and thought processes. Call me Cappy or Chris, either way hello!

Welcome! Glad to have you here, and don't mind Hiroshi; he only bites if you forget to feed him. You mention 'so many purchases'... Might I ask what your current collection consists of? Cya 'round! -Slayer

OK, you have to appreciate my sarcasm here, though - check the look on Ramirez's face I've got an Albion Discerner (that was first long ago), and a Hanwei PPK which came out of the closet for sharpening, which started my haunting, here. Then came the Chen Golden Oriole, then a Raptor to learn cutting with (without destroying anything too pretty), then well - ok this is nerdy - a Point Gallery Genei, which should arrive on Sat!

Oh and a Chen Ninja-to, too.
Next up - as I haunt further - will likely be a Bugei...maybe the Shobu...it depends on a)If I cut any fingers off before I get around to ordering or b) if my wife finds out!

Hello and welcome. Go with the 1x30 belt sander, you won't regret it.
