Hello ladies and gentlemen. I would like to introduce my new custom baskethilt, early scottish beak nosed ribbon hilt by Alojz Krišto. Now the hilt is finished and mounted on a Windlass Sword of Granson blade, so here it is:

I've been following the evolution of this project over at myArmoury.com, and I really like it. I was at first a bit taken aback at the overwhelming presence of the Granson blade, but the more I look at it the better it looks. The baskethilt itself is also wonderful, combining brute power with goodly elegance.

Granson blade is really a broad one, but it looks even more so because basket is small, made specifically for my small hand.
