'm new to the forum too, and commend you all for your advice. I'd also like to state that with a little initiative, all the info. i've actually read on the forum, the SBG custom is a great buy. Orakulo, you did say that a "good" katana was worth double your initial range, and the custom options available in the SBG sword offer alot in the way of your own color,tsuba etc.etc.etc. I've been looking real hard at that as an option, and I'm a pretty difficult guy to please. To me, a sword as strictly decoraton, is a waste of space, and an insult to the heritage of the blade. A decorative blade has no "spirit". It seems that you've gone to enough length to wind up here for a reason. Please don't take this as an insult, it's not my intention to offend. if you really think about it, you should be able (with patience) to find any one of the higher quality katanas used even. Good luck, be patient, it'll come together.
