I was just wondering, was I not supposed to leave my sword home alone? When I got in from work last Wednesday, I found all the kitchen cutlery, bent, spindled, mutilated, and strewn across the living room floor. The liquor cabinet had been ransacked. (Someone does not read Spanish, the Patron was untouched). Neither the mini fridge nor its contents where spared. My favorite ales had meet with a worse fate. The broken bottle necks, caps still intact, lay about the carpet and tile. The bottles, now devoid of that bitter sweet, dark brown, elixir that brings civilization to the modern world, piled next to the end table. Oh the horror, the horror of it all. And MY sword, now named Bruce the (radio edit), sitting in MY lazy-boy, like a Viking chieftain that has just pillaged a Roman coastal village, refuses to give up the TV remote. Oh it gets better. My dog, now sports an upturned aluminum pot pie tin in the shape of a Valsgarde helm with two goat horns stuck to either side, chain-mail armor, leather spiked collar, and will only come to me when I call him Thor god of Thunder. Traitorous little (radio-edit). He’s a Pomeranian. WTH. Yea, see if you can get that mental picture out of your head. Mahahaha
Sorry, slow day at the office.
BTW, bought two more swords… Don’t you judge me, it was a sale. That’s worse than having a coupon. I picked up the Hanwei Sword of War and Early Medieval Sword. I believe my assimilation is almost complete. I was at the front door, just home from work, when the UPS driver showed up. I wasn’t so indifferent this time around. Tore into the new boxes like a greedy fat kid at the all you can eat dessert buffet. I am really liking the look of bare carbon steel. I can’t put my finger on it; it just “feels” better. Took me a little while to get use to seeing it without some form of protection. These two look “modern” compared to the Viking sword. I’m not too bad with a wood chisel; I just might try making a grip.
Well back to work.
