Hello everyone,
I had not been for a while and I see you have a nice new forum.
I have the following question: Do you think 4,3 cm blade width (665 grams of total weight) is rather small for a Pompeii gladius? I am planning to buy the Trajan (after Guttmann example) gladius from Albion. It looks very good at the pictures, but I am a little bit afraid of how it will be in my hands.
I tried to find a user from the old forum, who was going to buy such a gladius, but I coudn't. I will appreciate greatly the opinion of one who owns such a gladius or at least one who had seen it live.
Thank you, Peter

While I fail to meet your categories (owner or seen it), I do have to say that from the pictures it looks perfectly fine. Gladii all tend to be on the small side; if you've got meat-paws like I do, there's not much you can do about it. If you're buying an Albion I really wouldn't worry about it all that much, they do a great job on their swords. The only thing I would be concerned about is how the hilt fits your hand... that's the main problem I think most people have with gladii, after historical accuracy.

Thank you a lot Elheru Aran. I may say my nahd is normal size.
Maybe I didn't express myself correctly. I will be thankful for all of your comments.
