Some people may already know that I bought some hazuya and jizuya stones from Kyoto, Japan. Many have wanted to see my work after I was finished so here they are. The picture showing the whole blade is difficult to see the polish too some, but it's such a large blade, and hopefully you can zoom in on it. I have been working on and off for about 2 weeks. The wonders that jizuya and hazuya can do! I do wonder though what process did you use to get that beautiful polish on your sword? Beautiful job, makes me imagine what it'd look like if nugui was applied . Heh. Getting ideas~ I'm thinking of polishing my sword in the same process

WOW! Congratulations Mike! It looks amazing.
Your arms must be killing you. I have a hard time just wiping my blade down, let alone polishing such a long sword...
You know what? You just convinced me to add to my burnishing some stone work. Can you let us know how much were the stones?
How did you work the kissaki by the way?

Overall good work for a first time, work on getting a more even polish, and crisper lines!

Thanks, all of you guys! It wasn't really painful to polish Godslayer. lol More fun actually! The Kissaki I basically polished like the rest of the blade. Everyone, I got the Hazuya and Jizuya stones on ebay. I know I know, unreliable. But I got them right? But it's the wait that's painful because it's economy shipping. cgi.ebay.com/Japanese-Sword-Poli ... 4aa4455815 On the polishing, well I had some annoying scratches and buffs from cutting a while back. So I went to Autozone thanks to a member on the forum to get wet or dry sandpaper. Untraditional, but I didn't actually use any other japanese stones. Here's the grits 180 for deep scratches or burrs. 400 600 800 1000 1500 second to final 2000 final polishing Don't forget to use 3n1 oil to wipe off excess metal on the blade. Here are 2 pages for polishing if necessary www.ksky.ne.jp/~sumie99/togi,process.html And www.ksky.ne.jp/~sumie99/hazuya.htmlAll time consuming but worth learning if you're interested. Hope this helps Michael
