Hi new poster here.
I am interested in buying a tactical sword. Really like the look of the tactical wakizashi and Banshee. Both of these sword had great review from SBG forum. One feature of Banshee stand out for me is the 'high-retention locking mechanism' which make a lot of sense for a tactical sword. I would like to get any input of you guys about this 2 swords.

Student's got it right. You can only compare such different blades based on your own preferences (it's the same as the katana vs. longsword debate). From the reviews I've read, both are great blades and both are inexpensive, so it's really a matter of which you prefer more. Given that the Banshee's locking mechanism caught your eye, perhaps that's the one you prefer?

Well I can only speak about the Tactical Wakizashi because that's the one I own. It's a very lively blade in one hand or two. I'd personally go with it over the two for a number of reasons; The construction looks more sturdy, It's lighter(admittedly not by much), and they're coming out with the Katana to go along with it. Just my .02 cents...

It also comes down to whether you'll actually be doing anything with the blade other than the occasional cutting session. I know that if I was going to pick between the two, I'd get the Banshee, but that's mostly because I think it looks more durable-- I'd be using it as a machete as needed, aside from cutting. The Tac-Wak is a little light for that kind of duty... really, it comes down to what you like better. The ideal solution? If you can afford it-- buy both

I positively think you should buy both! lol
I don't have the wak but I own the Banshee and it is durable and capable but different than the wak. If you had both then you could choose between them depending on the duty required.
