Does anyone knows if the samekawa(ray skin)is paneled or full wrap? What are my choices of sword length and tsuka length? Can the samekawa be lacquered in black and the tsuka ito made of brown or black leather? Up to what point do I have choices flexibility/can I use my own tsuba? Regards,
Bob

From the review of the SBG Entry Level Custom: www.sword-buyers-guide.com/custo ... words.html I quote: "The lightweight bo-hi version has a streamlined, sleek appearance. The black cotton ito wrap is very tight and evenly done, with nice even strips of same (rayskin) on both sides and double pinned with two bamboo mekugi as standard." There ya go for starters!

Thanks Chrispers,I haven't read the review yet,I just looked at it and by it metal, geometry and looks(and price),thought it was a good choice.

Im ordering one too in the next batch! Sword length is either 27' 28' or 29' Tsuka Length NON customizable. You can get the Ray skin in black but not painted black (they are 'traditional' Katanas anyway) You can get Brown cotton or 'silk' Ito though. You would have to do the leather yourself. Ok the Tsuba. I have been emailing Paul alot on this one. I found a picture of the Tsuba i wanted, then he checks the database and send me pictures of either the exact one OR one very similar. Then you can make your choice based on that BUT you have to have an idea of what you want 1st Hope this helps!

I wondered that too, cause i wanted THIS Tsuba www.artsfeng.com/product/tc142-japanese-samurai-katana-sword-jp-warrior-tsubaI said i would buy it to be fitted to my custom sword but its not an option. He will do his best to find a match (from one that they have in stock) It makes sense cause could you imagine all the people around the world sending all these bits and pieces... There would be major mix ups. If it was only a few orders it would be ok, but they get alot of orders from what ive seen.
