Recently, one of our newer members, Average Joe, posted looking to find out just what he had in his collection. One of them was a Japanese Type 32 NCO Saber from the late 1800s; odd as it sounds, I was instantly attracted to it for some reason, so I went looking to see if there were any contemporary versions of the sword on the market. I only found a single one, but there's a bit of a problem. It's by Deepeeka and, after reading all the reviews of them on SBG, I'm a little scared of their track record. Add to the fact that there's next to no information on the sword and you can see why I'm a little leery. www.by-the-sword.com/acatalog/Ja ... -3410.html Anyone have anymore information on it or know where I might be able to find a quality reproduction?

The manufacturer and retailer information is incorrect. The type 32 is a cavalry trooper sword from the 19th century. The production of them (I believe) had discontinued by WWII. home.earthlink.net/~steinrl/nihonto.htmSteins pages are down right now from sever load but a general internet search will point these out. www.google.com/ japanese+type+32+sword
