As many as I can...I do not really plan in advance...but I should...but sometimes you've got to deviate from the plan to grab a good deal when it passes...but you should plan to save up for a really important (and more expensive) piece...but then there are these nice swords everywhere...oh look a deal...and these pole-arms...and axes...knives...need piece of armour...it's not easy living with this addiction...
But seriously, probably 3-4 would be a realistic average (I hope, at the very least): katzbalger, langes messer, hand & a half schiavonesca, single hand schiavonesca, longsword with scent-stopper pommel, Type XII with brazil-nut pommel, Type X with cocked-hat pommel...wait, that's seven! Doh!

1 so far this year. I can forsee 1 custom from Brendan and I would also like to add a euro and a rapier to my growing stable.
I still have a combat shotgun to add to the list since the range started competition shooting with em now. (soo much fun) and another new pistol for IDPA.

Probably just two this year, with one of so far being a custom from John at Odinblades. Wish I could get more, but business has just not been looking too good lately  |

Hmm.. last year i bought.. none. The year before i bought 3. So this year i will try to fare much better in the sword departement. I have one coming by the end of the week or the start of the next ( hanwei military Dadao ) , i have a custom Nagimaki from Huawei that has just been completed, should get it somewhere in february. I have two DSA ( designs i made ) coming with the end of their production, start of march. If Albion finally release the Maximillian then i could add one more ( already made a good deposit... but the wait is getting... a bit too long for my tastes ) And if the Max isnt released then.. i might be tempted to go with John Lundemo for a custom i want since... since... since i collect swords ! I would even consider selling my deposit ( with a rebate ) at Albion to get this one faster.. argh. So that might put the total up to 5 ! A great year for swords !!! Oh... almost forgot : that thing i discussed with Tom.. i might end up with 6 ! And then feed my kids with squirrels and potatoes  |

it depends if i can find a job this spring or if i'm going for study with a little help from the government for my studies....

other than that i would buy some more things but it is not in the weapon category (iaido uniform, kobudo course...)

I'm buying the H/T EMSHS tomorrow, so that's one so far this year. Really came down to that and the AT1304. The Atrim is a better sword, but I want to save up and get it when I can afford a whole sword and scabbard from Christian ($1195 for the combo I want). So instead I opted for the EMSHS.

Huh, that's a question that I suspect might plague me through the year... there's so many out there that I'd love to have!
Realistically though-- H/T fullered bastard, maybe an EMSHS, and... that's it unless I can scratch up the money for a Fableblades custom...
